How do I join?

Just E-mail us, phone us up for a chat, or just turn up. Most people just come along to watch a lesson and end up joining in, we don’t mind either way, but if your want to join in it’s best to wear loose clothing like jogging bottoms and a T shirt or sweat shirt!

joining fee or a yearly membership fee?

No, we don’t ask for a joining fee or a yearly club membership fee!

Do I need a licence?

Yes, after one month you will need a karate licence, which is also your person-to-person insurance, the governing body insures you for the first four weeks. For this you will need to supply a passport photograph.

Will I need a karate suit?

Yes, but you do not need one straight away, but most people get one once they have decided that they like it. Suits, club badges, belts and anything you may need is available to buy from the club.

What is a grading

A grading is a test of your karate ability (kicks, punches, blocks etc) from what you have learnt during the lessons in the last 3/4 months training. Each grading is for a different coloured belt. To be eligible to grade you must have a karate suit with our club badge on it, a current karate licence and to have completed the required number of lessons.
